Exercise 1: loading a scene file

Starting point

A scene in Slicer, composed of sections and various 3D head elements. This is a very simplified representation, but suitable for the purpose of this exercise, which is to work with the basic interface of 3D and 2D representations.

Objective

Open a Slicer scene file

Solution

1. Click on File|Add Data and the window to add data to the scene opens. By clicking the Choose File (s) to Add button and navigating to the folder where the file with the exercise is saved:

2. Select the file and click on the Open button. The window closes and we return to the window to add the data to the scene.

3. The file to be uploaded is selected (the box to the left of its name is checked), and we press the OK button. The pop-up window closes and we are in the main window of Slicer:
