إن الجزر الكنارية تتكون من منطفة من مناطق الأبعد في الاتحاد الأوروبي وهي منطقة الحكم الذاتي في إسبانيا. تشتمل على أراخيل مشهور بطقسها اللطيف المعتدل وجمالها وقطاعها السياحي الجذاب. تقع جزر الكناري شمال غربي أفريقيا الغربية ويبعد لكيلومترات قليلة عن غربي سواحل المغرب، وهي في خط عرض فلوريدا نفسه
