Nouakchott University installs MACBioIDi medical technology to train its students

The Faculty of Medicine of the University of Nouakchott includes in the formation of its students of first and second course of the degree of medicine, the applications 3DSlicer and the Openanatomy browser. In this way, the medical technology project developed by the team of researchers of the University of Las Palmas of Gran Canaria will form part of the formative content of the degree of medicine of this faculty.

The researcher in the MACbioIDi project, Marilola Afonso, visited the simulation center of this medical school and attended some of the classes taught to make the applications known and their development.

It should be recalled that the MACBioIDi project seeks to promote sustainable development through medical technology. This initiative is promoted and coordinated by the University of Las Palmas of Gran Canaria (ULPGC), through the medical and Audiovisual Technology Group (GTMA) and the Chair of Medical Technologies (CTM), both from the University Institute of Biomedical Research and Sanitary (IUIBS), and of the service of advanced technologies for the intelligent specialization of Canary Islands (RIS3 Service), of the foundation of the Scientific Technological Park of the ULPGC (FPCT-ULPGC).
